The indomitable merging of Missouri & Illinois

Made in tribute to the great river that founded American life in this region and was immortalized as a slice of American History by local author Samuel Clemens.  Gone are the days of Twain's riverboats and wily characters who plied their trades among them.  We set out to create a spirit to pay homage to the Mississippi River, the river that literally separates us from our distilling friends at Stumpy's Spirits, the greatest river on this continent and the reason St. Louis was iconic in American History.

Capturing the smoke of both MO & IL state trees in the barley portion of River Barons Rye Whiskey, we have created a truly unique distillery collaboration between StilL 630 & Stumpy's Spirits. We started with a foundation of rye and also included some malted wheat in the mashbill.  Producing mashbills in partnership on our unique respective equipment, allows us to create two spirits from one and highlight the beautiful differences born from our different stills, techniques, and aging environments.

Tasting Notes: 

Sugar Plum & carmaelized brown sugar .  Spicy rye pepper w/complex smoke and a distinct wheat sweetness on the finish.
