And as you sip his creation, learn a little more about the man himself in his own words:

“Ben Bauer is the head barkeep and all around booze guru at The Libertine in St. Louis. It was at an early age that Ben fell in love with the art of the cocktail. During his time tending bar at the award winning Farmhaus Restaurant in St. Louis his true passion of fine spirits began to take shape. In November of 2012 Ben made the move to the highly acclaimed Elaia and Olio, where he enveloped himself in the study and art of creating classically crafted cocktails. Ultimately finding his current home at The Libertine, Ben shares his passion and pushes himself to surpass traditional levels of quality, taste and imagination on a nightly basis. Ben’s most current interests include drinking bottles of warm Fernet Branca in the rain, giving back massages WHILE receiving foot massages, occasional apologies and cake eating.”

This delicious cocktail was created by Ben Bauer of The Libertine restaurant in St. Louis, MO.  Ben crafted this cocktail, an homage to the late lead singer of Warrant, for our 1st Annual 630 Day party (6.30.13) and, much like “Cherry Pie,” it was a huge hit!
